The Montgomery County Crisis Center provides immediate responses to crisis situations for all residents of Montgomery County, Maryland.
The center provides goal-oriented crisis intervention, brief crisis stabilization, and help in obtaining services for individuals and
families with a mental health crisis or experiencing other crisis situations.
The Crisis Center has:
- Telephone and walk-in crisis intervention,
- Psychiatric consultation, evaluation and stabilization,
- Assessment of children and adolescents,
- Suicide Prevention,
- Services for the homeless,
- Response to victims of violence, including sexual assault and mate-related abuse, and
- Alternatives to psychiatric hospitalization.

Montgmery County HotlineThe Montgmery County Hotline Provides confidential and anonymous support by trained counselors through a 24-hour telephone
active listening and referral service. The Hotline program also runs a THERAPISTLINE which provides a system of referral
for individuals who have limited or no financial resources for mental health outpatient therapy. Individuals are linked with
competent mental health professionals who accept a sliding scale fee.
